Regional Studies and Tourism: Focusing on these two fields and nurturing intellectual and professional financial experts.
We nurture potential professionals who will lead the way in Regional Revitalization and Tourism Management, both of which are essential to the prosperity of the Japanese economy in the future.
This department focuses on fields that strengthen the Japanese economy and expects its students to become proficient economists who can contribute to their organization or society. In the field of Regional Economy, they learn to understand economic activities in a pragmatic way by regarding a region as a single economic unit in order to contribute to the regional development. Tourism Economy helps students get a good grasp of the ever-growing tourism industry from the viewpoint of management.
From these two perspectives, they are expected to develop their skills in order to influence the economy on their own.

We put a high priority on Region and Tourism, both important to Japanese economic growth, so that our students can develop the skills needed to improve Japan’s economy.
"Region" means a wide range of places, from your neighborhood, city, town or village to larger regions such as the EU, and it entails various components like medical and welfare services. "Tourism" is pivotal to regional development. What is tourism supposed to be like? And what about its associated services? Today, we are facing a big transition in terms of hospitality and commitment to protecting the environment.
Our students learn practical economics with focuses on "Region" and "Tourism", both of which are crucial to bolstering Japan’s economy, and they are expected to become intelligent and expert economists who will contribute to Japan’s prosperity.
