セミナーforキャリア形成I実施 Presentations at 'Career I' Course Friday, September 20th
9月20日のキャリア形成Iにて、二回生を対象にグローバル教育に関する講演を行ないました。
グローバル教育委員の伊藤講師がこれまでの海外生活について紹介した後、熊本大学大学院生命科学研究部グローバル天然物科学研究センター助教でネパール出身のHari Prasad Devkota博士をゲストに招聘し、「ネパールの伝統医療（アーユルヴェーダなど）と薬草」のタイトルでご講演頂きました。
講演は、5年ぶりに対面で行いました。
As a part of our global education program, an invited seminar by a Nepali pharmacist was held.
Dr. Ito (Setsunan Univ., Japan) spoke about his international experiences, following an invite lecture titled "Plant, People and Pharmacy: Lessons from Nepal and Japan" by Dr. Hari Prasad Devkota from Kumamoto University, Japan.
The seminar was took place onsite for the first time since 2019.

グローバル教育委員の伊藤講師がこれまでの海外生活について紹介した後、インド・シバジ大学のシュリラング・ヤダフ教授をゲストに招聘し、「インド西部西ガーツ山脈の知られざる薬用植物」のタイトルでご講演頂きました。
動画視聴後は、理解度確認のためのwebクイズも行いました。

Dr. Ito (Setsunan Univ., Japan) spoke about his international experiences, following an invite lecture titled "Little known potential medicinal plants from Western Ghats" by Prof. Shrirang R. Yadav from Shivaji University, India.
The students were then answered web quizzes as a test to see their understanding.

グローバル教育委員の伊藤及びゲストの中野友美子氏（UC Berkeley, USA）がこれまでの海外生活について紹介し、その後、理解度確認のためのwebクイズに答えて頂きました。
なお、発表はまず英語で、その後日本語で行なわれました。

10月2日のキャリア形成Iにて、二回生を対象にオンライングローバル講演会を行ないました。
今回は中国医薬大学中薬資源学系の張永勳教授をゲストに招聘し、「台湾における中医薬の品質管理と精製について」のタイトルでご講演頂きました。
動画視聴後は、理解度確認のためのwebクイズも行いました。
As a part of our global education program, an invited seminar by a Taiwanese pharmacist was held.
Prof. Yuan Shiun Chang from China Medical University, Taiwan, gave a speech online with the title of "Quality Control of TCM Herbs and Herbal Preparations in Taiwan".
The students were then answered web quizzes in order to test their understanding.

米国研修：現地到着・研修開始 Clinical Pharmacy Course @ UNC started Monday, February 24th
2019年度の海外臨床研修@UNCの参加者が、無事に現地到着し、研修を開始しました。
Two SU students and six HIU students were arrived at North Carolina and started this year's Clinical Pharmacy Course @ UNC.
タイ研修：開催中止（延期） Cancellation (postpone) of the program to Bangkok, Thailand Friday, February 7th
新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大に伴い、今年度の海外研修inタイを一旦中止としました。
今後、事態が終息すれば、日程を改めて開催する可能性があります。
This year's study abroad program to Bangkok, Thailand was tentatively cancelled due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
We are in the process of rescheduling the program with an aim to held the program at some point this year.
グローバル講演会開催 Invited Seminar Monday, November 11th
学部5年生の海外研修先である米国ノースカロライナ大学よりDennis M. Williams博士を招聘し、グローバル講演会を開催いたしました。
当日は、キャリア形成I受講者や研究室配属学生、教員が多数聴講される中、「臨床薬剤師の役割－米国における進化」のタイトルでご講演頂きました。
聴講学生より質問が出るなど、学生の海外の薬学事情への関心を伺い知ることが出来ました。
なお、本講演会開催にあたって、広島国際大学薬学部倉本先生には大変おせわになりました。
この場をお借りして御礼申し上げます。
As a part of our global education program, an invited seminar by an American pharmacist was held.
Dr. Dennis M. Williams from the University of North Carolina, USA, a person in charge of our clinical pharmacy course in US, gave a speech with the title of "Evolution of the Role of the Pharmacist in the United States".
This might be a great opportunity for our students as questions were raised by students.
参加者説明会開催 Introductory Seminar for the Participants Thursday, October 25th
面接により選ばれた12人を対象に、STA様よりツアーに関する説明がありました。
パスポート未取得者及び出発日に６か月の残存期間がない学生は、パスポートの申請又は更新が必要になりますのでご注意ください。
Introductory seminar to the selected 12 participants were given by STA travel agency.
Participants were instructed to check their passport’s validity and the expiration date, which should be no earlier than six months from the departure date, i.e., August 23, 2019.
希望者面接実施 Interviews for the Applicants Wednesday, October 23rd
10月15日までに応募のあった12名を対象に、グローバル教育委員会にて面接を実施しました。
面接は学生一人当たり5分を目安に、学籍番号の若い順に上位学年から行いました。
面接終了後、審査員5名のつけた得点に、学生事務からご提供頂いた学生の成績点を考慮して、12名を選出しました。
Twelve applicants were interviewed by the Global Education Working Group.
Interviews were five minutes long per student, held in the ascending order of their student number from the upper to lower classmen.
All the students were selected based on scores from four/five interviewers and their individual academic grades.
希望者説明会開催 Open Seminar for Students Friday, September 27th
9月27日のランチタイムに説明会を開催しました。
ベトナム研修に興味のある学生約20名に対して、グローバル教育委員会から研修の説明を行いました。
A luncheon seminar for students was held by Global Education Working Group.
Around 20 students attended and learned the objectives of the study abroad program to Bangkok, Thailand.

研修報告会開催 Final Oral Reports Thursday, March 7th
帰国後の3月7日に、本学枚方キャンパスにて研修報告会を開催しました。
はじめに引率教員より研修概要の説明があり、その後参加学生12名がそれぞれのテーマについて報告を行いました。
Final oral reports were made by the 12 participants.
Following opening remarks by a program coordinator, Dr. Ito, the students' gave short talks about each facilities/places visited etc.
直前講習会開催 Pre-Departure Orientation Tuesday, February 12th
出発まで２週間を切った2月12日に、本学枚方キャンパスにて直前講習会を開催しました。
最初に河野学部長より激励のお言葉を頂戴したのち、本学国際交流センターより海外研修中の注意点についてのご説明、その後ライトハウス様より現地研修日程の最終版についてのご説明、STAトラベル様より旅行冊子などのトラベル上の諸注意について、そして最後に教職員より修了報告書及び修了報告会についてと、帰国後の手続きについての説明を頂きました。
A pre-departure orientation for participants was held by STA travel, Lighthouse Career Encourage, Global Education Working Group etc.
Participants learned potential risks while traveling, confirmed final schedule in Vietnam, discussed options for WIFI services etc.

研修日程発表 Itinerary Announcement Thursday, July 30th
8月1日に、今年度の薬学部海外研修の日程を発表しました。
研修先はベトナム南部のホーチミン及びその近郊で、2019年2月24日ー3月2日の7泊8日で行われます。
Itinerary for 2019 study abroad program to Vietnam was announced on August 1st.
Students will depart on February 24th and stay at Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city in Vietnam, for eight days during the program.
