【国際交流】相次いで2大学と協定等を結びました。

摂南大学は2023年末に２つの大学と協定や覚書を締結しました。アメリカのベリーカレッジとフィリピンのセブ工科大学(CIT-U)です。本学は両国内の協定校が多くはありませんでした。これを機にこれらの大学にも摂大生が学ぶことができるうえ、先方の大学からも学生を受け入れることが出来ます。

とくにベリーカレッジからは2024年の６月に多くの学生が来日し、摂南大学で学ぶほか、英語教育実習を常翔学園高校、常翔啓光学園高校で行う予定です。このように大学の枠を超えて、学園内が連携した国際交流を展開します。

ベリーカレッジは、米国ジョージア州にある私立のカレッジで、2100人の学生が学びます。多くの専攻がありますが、現在教育系の学部とプロジェクトを進めています。

セブ工科大学は、本学にとってフィリピンでサンカルロス大学に次いで二番目の協定校となりました。セブ市中心部に位置し、工学、コンピュータ、ビジネス、教育系の学部を持ち、約40,000人が学ぶ大規模な私立大学。昨年にグローバル教育センター長をリーダーとする使節団がセブ工科大学を訪問し、協定を締結しました。また、サンカルロス大学も訪問し、アブレニカ国際交流部長と今後の協力もお願いしました。

Setsunan University has concluded agreements or M.O.U. with two universities at the end of 2023. These are Berry College in the United States and Cebu Institute of Technology (CIT-U) in the Philippines. Our university had few partner schools in both countries. This will not only allow SetsunanUniversity students to study at these universities but also allow them to accept students from those universities as well.

In particular, many students from Berry College will come to Japan in June 2024, and in addition to studying at Setsunan University, they will also take part in English teaching practice at Josho Gakuen High School and Josho Keiko Gakuen High School. In this way, we will develop international exchanges within the school that go beyond the boundaries of the university.

Berry College is a private college located in Georgia, USA, with an enrollment of 2,100 students. We have many majors, but we are currently working on a project with an education department.

Cebu Institute of Technology is our university's second partner school in the Philippines. A large university located in the center of Cebu City with faculties of engineering, computers, business, and education, with approximately 40,000 students studying. Last year, a delegation led by the Director of the Global Education Center visited Cebu Technological University and signed an agreement. We also visited the University of San Carlos and asked to enhance our relationship with the director of external relations.
